Over the course of my skincare journey I have tried a lot of products and brands (almost anything you could think of), but there are only a select few brands that I repurchase from. Maybe you’re the adventurous type who loves to try anything and everything but are overwhelmed with the amount of products out there. Or maybe you’ve stuck to the same skincare regimen for years and want to try something new. Whatever the case, here are a few of my favorite tried-and-true brands and products!

Drunk Elephant is one of my favorite brands for clean, cute, cost-conscious products that actually work. I’ve been using a few of their products for almost two years now and I am always happy with my purchase! Their products smell great, feel luxurious, and are pretty cost-effective given how long they last.

One of my favorite things about Drunk Elephant is that they have a skin care ‘philosophy’ that they stick to: choosing ingredients based on biocompatibility. Meaning that they choose ingredients that your skin recognizes, that are natural pH balancing, and avoid the ‘Susupicious 6’ (six harmful ingredients that are commonly used in skin care products). You never have to worry that these products will irritate your skin or make you break out.

Favorite Products:

  1. Protini Polypeptide Cream
  2. D-Bronzi Anti-pollution Sunshine Drops (one of my absolute favorite products!! Protects from pollution and gives you a gorgeous no-makeup glow!)
  3. Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil (so luxurious)

Mario Badescu is the perfect brand for those who are just starting to explore skincare. Everyone is probably familiar with their Rosewater Facial Spray (which I am not a huge fan of), but if you look further into their product line, you’ll find that Mario Badescu offers low prices, amazing products, and a huge selection for any skin type.

Because this brand offers a wide range of products for all skin types, you should be cautious with which products you use to make sure you’re not damaging your skin. For example, if you have sensitive skin and you’re in your twenties, you would not want to use the drying lotion because it might irritate your skin. Luckily, they have a skincare quiz on their website to help you choose the right products for you!

Favorite Producs:

  1. Cleansing Milk with Carnation & Rice Oil (great for soothing sensitive skin!)
  2. Drying Lotion (works wonders for spot treatment for acne/blemishes but be careful if you have sensitive skin!)

Philosophy is the brand that I have been using the longest (4-5 years) and the main brand that I repurchase from. What I love about this brand is that they are centered around wellbeing, simplicity, and balance – from that they created skincare products. On each product they have a few poetic words that align with the product itself.

In particular, my loyalty to this brand began with the Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser when I started using this cleanser when I was 16 and I have been using it ever since! It smells amazing, doesn’t strip my skin of natural moisture or pH, and keeps my skin clear and glowing.

Favorite Products:

  1. Purity Made Simple Facial Cleanser (my favorite product)
  2. Purity Made Simple Eye Cream (so lightweight and moisturizing!)

One Reply to “The Only Skincare Brands I Repurchase From”

  1. I’ve never heard of Philosophy, so I’ll have to check it out! I use Lancôme for nearly everything, it was the only product that treated my milia which is why I’ve been sticking to it for the past few years. This article really helps though, I’ve been thinking about branching out on my skin care because of my combination skin!
